WALL-E in Taipei (not composed!~)

WALL-E appears in Taipei !!

A lot of people ask me wheather this picture is composed? I have to say that WALL-E is 100% true, but I have adjusted the color tone of pcitures. WALL-E is now put in the XinYi district of Taipei as a huge advertisement board.

Since WALL-E plays a role of ruins cleaning robot in the movie, I, therefore decide to demonstrate the devasted style which better fit the thesis of the movie. First, When I took this picture, I found a under-constructed building as the background. Following, When I processed it in the computer, I increased more black color on WALL-E itself to make it looks like a worn out robot. And then, I decreased the color saturation of the whole picture to make it as devastation.

Sunset before the storm

There is a typhoon approaching Taiwan now.

Nobody likes typhoon because it usually brings heavy rain, servere destruction and expected rising of vegetable prices. However, the day before the typhoon hitting the land is very beautiful. The sky is clear and the red clouds looks like on fire. I don't know how it is made or why the serenity before storm is so beautiful, but I can tell you "grab your camera and go taking pictures".

The beautiful moment

Recently I began to bring my camera every time when I went out. However, carrying the heavy camera package around everyday does not make me become more productive. Sometimes I just carried the bag out and came back home even without opening it.

Maybe it's not about the prictures. I just want to capture more beautiful moment here before I leave the beautiful city - Taipei.

The best season for photography in Taiwan

Since I began to photo and pay more attention on weather changing, I have gradually figured out when is the best days for photography. Days from June to August are considered the best season for taking outdoor pictures in Taipei. In these days, the sky is astonishing blue and the air is especially clean that means the visible range is farer and more building would appear in your screen. If you want to take photos of the whole city, summer is definitely the best season for photography.

To explain this situation, we have to understand the direction of wind in East Asia first. The whole East Asia is under the monsoon(季風) area, it, therefore, changes the direction of wind season by season. In the summer, the wind is blown from southwest. On the other hand, the wind in winter is blown from northeast, which is accompanied with a lot of dust from China. Therefore, the whole winter of Taiwan is suffered from dust storm which makes the sky foggy and blurred just like everyday in BeiJing.

The unprofessional model

When I was the one who took charge of pressing the shutter, I always think the model have much to improve. However, when I become the one who stand in front of the camera, I feel awkward and uncomfortable. My smile is stiff and my body language is dull.

It's very different from shooting to being shot. Although I basically know how to full fill a good portrait, I just don't get used to face the camera. It seems that I still have a lot to improve....HAHA~~
